Will wall decals work on textured walls?
No. Custom Wall Decals require a smooth, clean surface to adhere properly. Textured walls (like orange peel, knockdown, or heavily painted surfaces) will prevent the decal from bonding fully and can cause edges to lift.
What is the difference between cut-to-shape and contour cut?
Cut-to-shape means the vinyl is cut directly along the outline of your design with no extra material around it. Contour cut means the decal is printed on clear vinyl and then cut within 1/8" of the design edge. StickyLife uses cut-to-shape whenever possible. If your design cannot be cut to shape, it will be contour cut automatically.
How do I know what size to enter?
If you know the exact size you want your decal, enter those dimensions and fill the entire design space in the tool. If you're not sure of the exact size but know the wall area you're working with, enter that area's dimensions as your canvas, what you build inside that space is what will be produced.
Do Custom Wall Decals come ready to apply?
Yes. Every wall decal ships pre-masked with transfer tape so you can apply it directly to your wall without any extra prep. Just clean the surface, peel, position, and smooth it down.
How long will a wall decal last indoors?
