The cling material is on the front. It goes on the inside of the window and is designed to face outward through the glass.
This is what a storefront window needs. You apply it from indoors and the person reading it is standing on the sidewalk.
The cling material is on the back. It goes on the outside of the window and is read directly, the way you would read a sticker.
Best for a direct outward display where nothing sits between the design and the person looking at it.

One thing to remember: anything applied to the outside of the glass is exposed to the weather, so a back cling going outdoors needs Super Cling material rather than Traditional.
