The Design Tool doesn't work?

Sometimes the Design tool may take a few minutes to start up.
Currently our Design Tool uses something called JavaScript. JavaScript needs to be installed on your computer and enabled in order for the Design Tool to work. Most users already have it, as it comes standard on nearly ever computer made in this decade. If you need to verify that you have yours turned on and that your version is current, click here. Clicking this link will take a while as the java.com website is checking your browser's settings. Once java.com checks your browser it will provide you with updates and/or new download options if needed. If you have a current updated version of JavaScript enabled and you still cannot get the design tool to work, please drop us a email and we will see what we can do to help solve the issue. Email us at Help@StickyLife.com.

Yes, we can, however, there are a few things to keep in mind. We cannot guarantee color matching. Most logos are produced in white anyway. If your logo is going to be placed on glass we suggest using white. White and most lighter colors are more visable on glass and have a stronger dominance. We request that you provide us with a high quality image of your logo for production, perferably a vector file.

We accept many different forms of payment, such as:

  • Discover

Most orders ship out between 5 - 7 business days. Shipping times usually depend on your order size, quantity, complexity and shipping options. Though most orders ship out between 5-7 business days, some orders may go out sooner than that. Orders that select Priority or Express shipping are escalated to a higher level of importance. All orders are important to us but we do understand that you may need your personalized gift as soon as possible. We have made it possible for you to have your order within a day or two through these other shipping options. Priority shipping usually ships out within 2-3 business days and Express ships out the same day or next day. Please allow for normal US Postal service delivery times. If you have further questions about the delivery of your order, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Will you ship to a different address than my billing address?

Yes, we can ship to a different address than your billing address, however, for your safety if your order is more than $100 we may contact you, to verify that your order is correct.

We do not have setup fees for those who design their own products. We are here to help you design your customized products if you need the help. What is your return policy?

Because all orders are unique to you and your individual personality we will not accept any custom designed products back, as we cannot re-use them. If your order was dammaged during shipping or if your order was of the accessorry parts nature and not a customized item we will replace that item with one of the same or lesser value; once the old item has been returned to us. When customizing your own product you are fully responsable for all proof reading and layout issues. We hold no responsability for spelling or gramatical error.

Are your temporary tattoos safe?

Yes, most certainly! We would never produce a product for your enjoyment that could harm someone. All of our Temporary Tattoos are made of all FDA approved materials, and have gone through various tests to ensure your safty. The only pain you may experience would be from applying one to a hairy part of your body and then ripping it off soon afterwards, we do not advise doing this. (it hurts!)

Can I pick up my own order?

Sure, if you live in the North Carolina area and would like to make a trip to our headquarters to pick up your order we would be glad to hand it over, given that you can provide proof of purchase. Proof of purchase would include, payment conformation, credit card/debit card used for purchase with picture id.

Product Questions

Will your stickers or decals ruin or fade the paint on my car?

No, at least not that we have seen. The adhesive on the back of our stickers and decals are made for things like your car and windows for at least five years. Depending on your cars finish, at the end of five years you should not notice any fading of color and when you go to remove it you should not notice any defects due to the sticker/decal or magnet. We do however recomend that you check out our how to section to review the best method to removing your sticker/decal.

Can I remove the sticker or decal from my wall or car without ruining my paint?

Yes, you can. This isn't something that you should have to worry about, but we understand that some people are apprehensive to put a bumper sticker on their vehicle in the first place. To reasure you that our stickers 'n decals are safe and wont ruin your cars finish we have provided a easy to follow video demonstrating the proper way to remove your sticker/decal from your car or other surface.

What is the differance between a sticker and a decal?

There truly is a differance between a sticker and a decal, however, on our site we refer to them essensially as the same thing. Everyone has a different opinion when it comes to this question. According to StickyLife.com a sticker is a single, flat, solid, uniformed paper or vinyl with an adhesive backing and graphical top that communicates a particular message to a given audience. Whereas a decal is much of the same thing as a sticker but is not a single piece and is actually more than once piece and requires some form of transfer paper, on the top side (graphic side), that helps maintain a specific layout. We don't separate the two (sticker/decal) because you just want your sticker or decal to look the same way you desined it on our design tool, and don't need to be bothered by the specifics. So we just do what is best for our guests based on their design and won't bother you with the details. Maybe we should coin the term stical or decker?

What is the lifespan of your stickers and decals?

The lifespan of any of our products is as short or long as the products caregiver allows them to be. If someone designed a customized License Plate and placed it on their bedroom wall as decoration it will last a whole lot longer than if someone was to actually put it on their car. Average lifespan of our Stickers and Decals are 5 years based on the adhessive on the back side. We have had many last much longer than that.

What is the lifespan of your Temporary Tattoos?

The life span of our Temporary Tattoos depend on the one wearing them and where they wear them. If you were to apply our Temporary Tattoos to something other than skin the Temporary Tattoo will last for years without degradation. Temporary Tattoos' adhesion is between the image and the skin, and as everyone knows, that skin dies off and people perspire, which will cause a temporary tattoo to loose it's adhesive property. Our tests have shown that the average life expectancy for our Temporary Tattoos are 4 to 5 days and sometimes will last up to a week to a week and a half, but of course you can remove any Temporary Tattoo when ever you would like. For more information about removing one of our Temporary Tattoos, check out our removing temporary tattoos video.

Will your vinyl letters, decals and stickers withstand the elements?

Yes, All of our vinyl letters, stickers and decals are waterproof and can withstand most weather scenarios.

What kind of surfaces can I put stickers/decals on?

You can put StickyLife.com stickers, decals, vinyl lettering and temporary tattoos on nearly any hard, smooth, and clean surfaces you want. We recomend not puting them on fresh paint (fresh paint = less than 2 weeks old) or on anything rough, dirty or hairy,

Can I take my stickers/decals off and put them back on?

Typically not a good idea. Depending on shape it may be okay, but we can not guarantee life of the sticker or decal after removal. Some shapes should not be removed, unless it's intended for disposal. Example shapes that should not be removed: Stars, Seals, Tennis Rackets, Golf Clubs, Hearts, Spades, etc. Some shapes that might be okay for removal and replacement might include: Circles, Squares, Footballs, Speech Bubbles, Tennis Balls, Hockey Pucks, etc.

How big can you make vinyl letters?

We Can create vinyl letters as tall as 60" (5 feet). Please contact us for a custom quote on large lettering.

Designer Questions

How do I design my own Keychain, Dogtag, or any product for that matter?

For help with designing any of our products feel free to check out our tutorials section where you will be able to watch short videos that cover our various design tools.

Do you have any other colors, shapes, or sizes available?

Though we have Billions of combinations and options available there still a lot of colors and styles of vynal materials out there that we can use. What you see on our website is only a small handful of colors that have been chosen based on frequency of use. If your looking for a color, shape, size or something else in particular that you havn't found on our site please feel free to drop us an email with your ideas at ideas@stickylife.com and we will see what we can do to accommodate your concepts.

What kind of images can I use? What types of files do you accept?

It depends on if you're working with us one on one or if your designing your own in our design tools. If your working with us, one on one, we will always ask for a vector file for all your art work, if possable. If it is not possable then an high resoultion image will work. If your working in our design tool you can upload any rastered image (jpg, jpeg, png, gif) Please do not upload any files larger than one Megabite. We have a varity of methods to producing your customized product.

What is the difference between vector and raster files?

Raster Files:
Raster files are made up of tiny squares, known as pixels. The appropriate pixels are filled in to represent a design's lines and arcs. The quality of a raster file is measured in DPI (dots per inch). In order for us to use a raster file, the file must be at least 300dpi. We cannot enlarge an existing raster file without losing some of its graphical quality.

Vector Files:
A vector file, on the other hand, is a file whereby lines and arcs are stored as vector coordinates. This means that vector files are made up of precisely defined entities, each with its own beginning and end, rather than lumpy groups of pixels as found in raster files. Vector files can be enlarged and manipulated without loosing any graphical quality.

Can I use Photos and Rastered images for my Stickers and Decals?

Yes, you can. If you can think it you can make it. Your creativity is, truly, the only thing holding you back, and we even have things to combat that.

Are there programs that will convert a rastered image into a vectored image?

Yes there are several programs out there that can convert your rastered image into a vectored image, however, they are very rough and usually require re-building. There is not a simple way to convert a rastered image into a vector, that does not involve labor in cleaning the image.

Can you convert my raster image into a vector file?

Yes, it would be our pleasure to help you with that process. Contact us at conversions@StickyLife.com include an image of the photo/image that you would like converted and will will email you back with a quote to convert your image/photo into a vector image. Please keep in mind that no photo converted into a vector file will ever look the same, infact it will become somewhat cartoonish in appearance.

How To Questions

How do I apply vinyl products?

To appropriately apply any of our vinyl products we recomend that you first clean the surface throurally with a non-alcohol cleaner that is free of perfume and color tinting ingredients. We have accessories to help make this process smoother; check out our accessories department for more details. Once the surface is cleaned, allow it to dry then respray the surface with the cleaning solution, or water, and the back of the vinyl product. Yea, Yea I know sounds silly; why would you spray the sticky part of the sticker/decal, but trust me. Once both sides are wet you can now position your sticker, decal or static cling to the surface. Having both sides sprayed will allow you to slide your vinyl product around into position. When you have it in the correct location, hold the product in place with one hand and then use a firm squeegie (also for sale in our accessories department) out the excess solution. Wait a few minutes until the soution drys up. Then slowly peal back the transfer paper.
If you recieved a sticker from us and it does not have a transfer paper, do not worry, you just won't have to do that step. By useing the solution and squeegy you will not only be albe to positon it with better accuracy but you will also be able to remove vertially all air bubbles that can occur when applying new vinyl products.

How do I remove vinyl products?

The best way to explain this would be to watch our short how to video that covers removal of vinyl products from your things.

I got bubbles in my sticker/decal, what should I do?

A wet application is the best way to prevent bubbles from appearing under your stickers, decals, or vinyl letters. To learn more about doing a wet application watch our applying vynal stickers and decals video. If you've already applied your sticker or decal and you need to figure out how to remove the bubbles, then please watch our removing bubbles after application video. And shame on you for not watching our how to apply video first.
